As I was having my coffee this morning, I heard a voice in my head. It kept saying, “Remember who you are.” I started to dismiss it as something I may have heard or read recently and was just recalling it. But it persisted. I began to give it attention and I began to get images of a newborn baby, smiling and cooing as they do. I realized that we are two in one. We come into this world as a spiritual being of love and joy, then as we grow, we start obtaining layers of beliefs and programmed thinking that create habits which gives us our personality. We begin to believe that is who we are.
When we start stripping ourselves of those beliefs, programs and habits, we can return to who we really are. Like the saying, “Rome wasn’t built in a day,” we didn’t become who we think we are overnight. For me, it is a daily process, a little at a time. I can only have faith that I may recognize what needs to be let go and take the steps to do so.
The message is simple and there is never a need to convince anyone but yourself. You see, when we are who we really are, it doesn’t matter what things we have or who’s in our lives. We become unconditional.
