Urges

Have you ever had an urge to do or say something but then thought about it and convinced yourself not to do it?  If you’re like me you probably get them often.  What if we just said yes to them.  After all, those urges are our true self and desires trying to get out.  I know I’ve recalled several of those moments and wished I’d just gone for it, damn the consequences.  In retrospect, those so called consequences could have led me to a more meaningful experience and closer to my dreams.  Of course it is difficult, especially when it may cost (or appear to cost) something of value or a relationship.  But how many times have we ended up losing it later anyway?  It is probably one of the most challenging tasks in life, to simply do what we really want instead of settle.

Blessed Be
