A few years ago I read a great book titled “Harmonic Wealth” by James Ray. Now many people know of the situation the author found himself in later in his career. If you do not know, it’s not important because it really doesn’t have to do with the book. In the book the author makes the point that balance implies we assign ourselves a certain amount of time to each area of our life like some sort of schedule. Harmony is about all the areas working together with no predetermined time or effort. In other words, when something arises and needs to be addressed, it’s done with all the areas working together.
While I agree with what he put in the book, I don’t agree that there is no place for balance. I look at it like this, I must have harmony with the key areas of my life (Relationship, Mental, Physical, Spiritual, Financial) but I must also tend to the balance of Karma and the wheel of life. The universe is made up of polarity. Balancing between the positive and the negative is where life is lived to its fullest. That’s where the saying “You don’t know what you’ve got til it’s gone” came about.
Living is about ups and downs, prosperity and poverty. It is an endless journey to be savored every step of the way.
